One week to go to the wedding and I still have a scab but I'm pretty mobile. Yes, nice purple scar. Once the scab is completely gone, I'll do an before and after comparison.

Let me get this straight . . . you pretty much ran your knee through a meat grinder. Then spent time at the aid station getting worked on. Finally, you had a bike that was less than perfect after the crash. AND YOU STILL FINISHED 7TH OVERALL!!!!
The fact you finished would have been amazing enough. I'm only going to ask once, are you on EPO?

Girl, you need to post a picture of your gnarly knee. I was is on mtbomaha.com for those of you that have not seen it. I think one of your photos has a line of blood running down it. Not sure. Great story. It's written such that I felt like I was there, and I don't even know anything about bike racing.

Your story is a real inspiration, even to us recreational and commuter folks. Next time I complain about my saddle getting uncomfortable or my neck stiff on one of Rafal's Bacon Rides, I'll imagine doing it with a busted knee.
